Pallotti's Italian Club

Pallotti's exists to encourage and support vital communication between younger members of the Italian community and its friends. We recognise that the development and nurture of positive relationships is an important issue in young people's lives and we are here to give people those opportunities.

The Pallotti's committee was founded in 1998 and is run by young adults from the Italian community aged between 18-35.

The committee was the brainchild of St Peter's veteran Vittorio Heissl. As one of the founding members of the original St Peter's Social Club, he had seen it go through many changes over the years before noticiing a decline in attendance from younger members during the late 1990s. The club had been built by and for young people. It was supposed to be a place where young Italians could meet and know they would be welcomed so its continued success depended entirely upon the enthusiastic support of a new generation of younger members.

Regular visitors to the club were approached individually for their help. A group of energetic and driven young people agreed to work together to create a meeting area their peers would be proud to frequent and this is how the Pallotti's committee was formed.
